Mark McGrath will present “Adventures on the Outer Cape” on Tuesday, March 10 in the CCMNH auditorium. There will be a potluck lunch at 12:30 with the program beginning about 1:30.
In their seventies Mark and his wife Patti walked the entire perimeter of Cape Cod, walking only on the beach and swimming across all the rivers. He will discuss the challenges, beauty, solitude and ultimate satisfaction of the year-long adventure.
Highlights will include a walk and swim across Pleasant Bay, sleeping in dune shacks, a lighthouse, and on Pleasant Bay islands in a bivvy bag. Winter, hiking, sunsets, parties and a few oddball and humorous stories will show that the outer Cape is a fantastic place for adventures.
